Greetings in the name of Jesus! My name is Jonas Yoder, and I grew up in central Missouri in an Old Order Amish community. In 2004, I was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and received him as my personal Savior. The next three years of my life involved a great process of spiritual growth, and eventually, a move to western Kentucky to a New Order Amish church. Thinking I had found a good Bible-believing church, I decided to settle down and establish a life with my family in Western Kentucky.
After about a year, however, some serious doctrinal differences came up in the church concerning new births and salvation. During that time, my family and I took a firm stand on salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ. This stand eventually caused us to be rejected and shunned by the Amish Church.

In the process of being rejected for our faith, I saw my people cling so firmly to dead traditions and works, and the Lord gave me a burden to somehow reach them with the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Today, I am privileged to be able to serve with Mission to Amish People (MAP) in reaching my people with the Gospel. God has even opened doors for me to be able to go back and reach out to some of my Amish neighbors from Kentucky - an opportunity I never dreamed possible.
I am also privileged to be a part of the team bringing Amish Awareness to the Christian community in America. Because of our burden to give the Amish people an opportunity to hear and receive the Gospel, we are putting on an Amish Awareness conference, so that you can come and spend two fun and informative days with us in central Ohio.
During these two days, you will learn about who the Amish really are and what they believe. I will personally be sharing about the history of the Amish people, starting with their early beginnings as persecuted Anabaptists. We believe this conference will help equip you to better understand who the Amish are and how you can effectively share the Gospel with them.
I am looking forward to personally meeting many of you next April in Ohio at the conference. I am also looking forward to the good home cooked Amish style meals, which will be served to all during those two days!! You won't want to miss it!
If you have not already, please register today
(http://www.amishawareness.com/registration.html), and then pass the word along.
God bless and favor you, and may He continue to do great things through you.
See you in April!
Jonas Yoder, on behalf of the ministry team.
