March 2015

If an 18 year old Amish man informed you that he had opened a Bible only twice in his lifetime, what would it do to you?  Would it break your heart?  What if you heard that same story over and over, coming from the same culture?

What if you learned that a people group, doubling in size every 20 years, was placing most of their faith in a man-made religion, rather than God's Word.  Would it concern you to the point of doing something about it?

It is for these and many other reasons we are inviting you to the Amish Awareness Conference, March 26-28. If you register before March 1, you will get the discounted price.  But you have to hurry, because time is running out.

Speaker Highlights:
  • Joseph and Stacie Graber are traveling all the way from Colorado to share about their upcoming film, Breaking the Silence.  Details at MyAmishStory.com.
  • Ephraim and Amanda Stoltzfus, the main characters in Trouble in Amish Paradise, are traveling from Lancaster, PA and will be sharing their testimonies; Ephraim is preaching on day 2.
  • Stephen and Rosetta Schmidt are traveling from Northern Indiana to lead worship; on Thursday evening, the family is putting on a concert - the public is welcome.  The Schmidts are from a Swiss Amish background and know how to yodel up a storm.  Details at The Schmidts & First Love.
  • Chuck and Diane Breznau from Healing Of The Heart Ministries are joining us from Michigan and will be speaking each day.  Saturday will be a bit more centered around the former Amish and the emotional challenges they face.
  • Other speakers, who live with the ongoing and undying passion of spreading the gospel among the Amish culture will be traveling from KY, WI, MI, OH and IN.

Conference Highlights:
  • Both former Amish and non-Amish are registering.  And guess what, we prayed that God would bring some Amish and He is.
  • Have you ever had Haystack for dinner?  How about an Amish wedding meal?  This year, Chris and Kathy are serving both!
  • Since we're making this a family conference, you're able to bring your entire family.  Children, 12 and under, will have their own mission's conference downstairs while dads, moms and teens attend the conference upstairs.  For pricing, go to Registration Details.
  • Four sessions on Amish culture, beliefs, effects of legalism, evangelism and stumbling blocks.
  • Testimonies from the former Amish.

Questions - contact us at (419) 962-1515.

For Him,

The Amish Awareness Planning Committee
