Our excitement is building as we prepare for the Amish Awareness Conference in Lancaster, PA this fall. We have had numerous meetings, our speakers are all lined up, the 2-day schedule has been uploaded, and folks are already beginning  to register.

Date: October 14-15, 2016
Location:  Lancaster Bible College, Lancaster, PA

REGISTER TODAY
(FOR BETTER PRICING)

You don't want to miss out on this conference.  Let me tell you why:

1.  In every one of our conferences, lives have been impacted.  People have:
        *  walked away knowing how to minister to their Amish friends.
        *  found freedom and let go of legalism and past issues.
        *  entered the ministry because of what they heard and saw.
        *  surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ for the first time.

2.  The fellowship and former Amish testimonies are awesome!  You will get to hear first hand what some of the former Amish have had to go through in order to follow Jesus Christ.  In this conference, you will get to hear from a former Amish minister.  You will also hear from Ephraim Stoltzfus who starred in Trouble in Amish Paradise, a BBC documentary.

3.  As you know, there are tons of things you can do in Lancaster, PA.  Bring your entire family, do some vacationing and take the conference in. We have something for all ages.

4.  Top eight reasons to attend this conference, go to AmishAwareness.com.

OUR DAILY SCHEDULE

Other things you should know about the conference:

1.  We can only take 115 registrations because of room size.

2.  Featured speakers for the Lancaster conference.

3.  We are providing a children's ministry each day for ages 5-12.  For more details, go to our registration page.

4.  Most lodging places are filling up fast because of other vacationers.  See our list of lodging places.

5.  Help us promote the conference at your church by downloading a poster, brochure and church bulletin.  We greatly appreciate it!

Amish Awareness Conf Update (Eddyville, KY)

Jonas Yoder Update:  It has been a great week following our 2016 Amish Awareness Conference. I have been reveling in the afterglow of seeing God work in so many different ways in the hearts of those that attended. I have enjoyed hearing testimonies from many of you about how God ministered to you during the weekend of our conference; I hope it was as much of a blessing to you as it has been to me.

I have taken a couple of days off work to spend time with my Dad who is battling with cancer, which has been a great opportunity for me to put into practice all that we learned about at the conference; it has been great to be able to spend time with my family in the community that I grew up in. I have had quite a bit of time to meditate and observe upon how things used to be for me. It now tears at my heart to see so many wonderful people so locked up in the bondage of their traditions and rules.

In closing, I want to encourage each of you to stay focused on what God has called you to do. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. If you have any questions or concerns or just simply need to talk with someone, please feel free to contact any of us at any time.

Jonas Yoder, Jonas@MapMinistry.org

Joe Keim Update:  What an honor and a blessing it was to serve the Living God with you at the Amish Awareness Conference last week.  Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule and coming with an open heart, willing to surrender all and follow where the Spirit of God leads.  I have no doubt that the army of heaven rejoiced and eternity was impacted because of decisions that were made on April 22-23 in Eddyville, KY.

I saw people weeping at the altar;  I saw hands stretched out toward heaven; I heard sincere cries going out from the lips of God’s children.  Together, we experienced real worship and joy in the Lord.  It has always been true that when God’s people lay their differences aside and come together in one place for one sole purpose – that is to humble ourselves before the King of kings and sincerely and passionately seek the heart of our God and Savior – lives are changed. God wins and Satan is defeated.

As I finish writing to you today, I want to remind you that we do a weekly one-hour conference call every Monday morning at 7:30am (Eastern Standard Time).  We would love for you to join us.  Simply dial (302) 202-1110 and enter the code 409703.

We also do a monthly one-hour conference call on the first Sunday night of the month at 8pm (Eastern Standard Time) using the same numbers listed above.  Join us to discuss Bible topics and testimonies.

Serving together and making a difference in this generation,

Dear Reader:

We are just days away from having our third Amish Awareness Conference - this time in Eddyville, KY.

Everybody has worked very hard to make this conference special.  We have prayed earnestly and believe with all our heart that God is going to do a great work in our midst - He always does.

At this point, we are nearing one hundred registrations and believing God for more.  There's plenty of room left and, as always, there will be lots of great food!
Next to great food and some healthy challenges from God's Word, there's the need for Christian fellowship.  At the conference, you will meet new friends who share many of the same burdens you have in reaching Amish people with the gospel.

You will hear what others are doing to reach out and connect.  You will find tons of resources available for you to take home with you.  You will meet, Lord willing, some Amish families who have recently gotten saved and are now on fire for God.  I promise, your heart will be richly blessed beyond words.

Conference Dates
April 22-23, 2016

Here's a small glimpse of what will happen at the conference:

Session 1: Anabaptism, Culture and Values - A beautiful culture and family values result from many years of persecution and suffering

Session 2: Beliefs, Legalism and Leaving - The gospel according to most Amish has six major elements.  Rejecting one, could keep a person out of heaven.

Session 3: Evangelism, Stumbling Blocks and Do’s and Don’ts - Why evangelism is necessary and three ways to connect with your Amish community

Session 4: Mission to Amish People and Helping the Former Amish - The start and history of a ministry and how God is moving among the Plain culture
